WHAT SOMATIC BODYWORK CAN DO FOR YOU

CRANIO-SACRAL BODYWORK

Man lies relaxed on a massage table while a cranio-sacral treatment is performed on the jaw.

Originating from osteopathy, cranio-sacral bodywork works with the cranio-sacral system—the network of membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that flows around the brain and spinal cord. The balance of this system plays a key role in regulating all other bodily functions, promoting overall health and well-being.

In cranio-sacral therapy, light touch on the clothed body is used to access and balance this delicate system. The gentle touch helps to release tension, calm the nervous system, and activate the body's natural self-regulation processes, often leading to profound relaxation and a sense of well-being.

Whether you're seeking relief from stress or simply looking to support your body's innate healing ability, cranio-sacral bodywork offers a soothing, effective approach to enhance your physical and emotional health.

SOMATIC MOVEMENT

A person in a beige top is mindfully holding the arm of another person. The gesture conveys calm, connection and supportive work with the body. In the background, a simple environment can be seen that puts the focus on somatic bodywork.

Somatic Movement is a form of movement with a focus on inner feelings.
It's not about what the movements look like or how flexible you are, but rather about individual perception and personal experience. This practice allows you to experience your body in a self-determined way and thus promotes the integration of healing changes in a sustainable way.
Somatic Movement supports the development of a deeper body awareness, which can positively influence not only physical but also emotional processes. It is an ideal method to strengthen the connection to your own body and promote long-term, healthy changes.

SETTINGS

My offer includes somatic bodywork in individual settings and in groups.

WHAT ELSE IS IMPORTANT

A woman in black clothing lies relaxed on a massage table. The person treating her gently strokes her legs, conveying a moment of mindfulness and care. The scene underlines the calm atmosphere of the bodywork.

Somatic bodywork activates the body’s self-healing abilities and can be highly effective in managing emotional stress. While this method cannot replace necessary medical, psychiatric, or psychotherapeutic treatments, it often complements and enhances them.

I am committed to gender and diversity sensitivity in my practice. LGBTQIA+ individuals, BIPoC, and neurodivergent persons are warmly welcomed! The practice is fully accessible.

Sessions are conducted with the client fully clothed. I recommend wearing comfortable clothing and bringing warm socks on cooler days. After the session, a period of rest is beneficial to support the body’s relaxation process.

Curious about trying somatic bodywork but unsure about being touched? Somatic bodywork can also be effective without physical touch. You decide when and if you wish to be touched.
